Choledochal cysts are rare congenital abnormalities in which the bile ducts become abnormally dilated. These cysts can cause abdominal pain, jaundice, vomiting, and recurrent infections. If untreated, they may lead to serious complications such as pancreatitis, bile duct stones, or even cancer.
